Signature Series truck: Sprouts

I love Sprouts. As I continue to change my diet to vegan, I go to this store once a week or every other week, (and they have a great selection!). As I was at the check-out counter last night, I couldn't help by see their display of an old blue Ford F150 1956 model truck.

The detailing is quite nice and the color looks amazing in person. I love the little Sprouts logo on the car door, and the wheels were nicely done and straight. Sadly I couldn't see a place online to order, except eBay. If you are wondering if you can purchase this at your local Sprouts store, or are wondering if there is one in your area, you can use the store locator:

Funko Friday: MTG - Liliana Vess

Happy Funko Friday! Today's pop vinyl figure is Liliana Vess from Magic the Gathering!

I got Liliana this week at Barnes & Noble for 30% off! (plus additional 10% off if you have their membership card). It might be only in some stores that have the % off, and not online.

Here is the Barnes & Noble link, along with some other sites that carry her if you, too would like to add her to your collection:

Funko Sci-Fi Mystery Mini - Robby the Robot

Happy New Year!

Funko has several mystery mini (blind box) series. This one was in a Sci-Fi one. Robby the Robot is from a 1956 film called Forbidden Planet. You only get one figure in a box, and some are more rare than others.

A few stores where I live carry this series, as well as some places online:

LOOT CRATE: December - Anniversary (2014)

The December (2014) Loot Crate came in! Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box ( $13.37 + shipping & handling) full of geeky goodies and each month has a theme. This month's theme is Anniversary, celebrating the anniversaries of Batman, Marvel, Ghostbusters, the Simpsons, and Tetris!

This is the Loot Crate Anniversary pin.

Each crate comes with a little magazine that has pictures of Looters from the last month, explanation of contents inside the box and this time has an interviews with Stan Lee (creator and writer of so many Marvel comics) and the cover illustrator, Josh Mirman.

My favorite item in this crate is the Loot Crate Exclusive Funko pop vinyl of the Joker Batman (from DC comics Batman, celebrating 75 years!) My pop collection is slowly growing and I was very excited to add this guy to the collection!

Also from DC Comics is the EXCLUSIVE Batman #36 issue, with a variant cover.

Also celebrating 75 years is Marvel. Included in this crate is a pair of dancing Groot socks from Guardians of the Galaxy.

I enjoy good smelling candles, incense and air fresheners so this Captain America Vanilla scent car air freshener was nice!

Has it been 25 years already?! I have watched the Simspns for quite some time. This Mighty Wallet features the entire cast, is lightweight, and durable - it's water resistant and tear resistant!

Ah, Tetris, one of the first games I've ever played. There are 147 Tetromino shaped stickers that you can stick on a lot of different things, and the designs are endless! It does come with a design book and patterns, though.

I love Ghostbusters, however I have never been a fan of Slimer. I saw someone receive the Marsh mellow, that one would have been cool. The back side is pretty neat but not what I was expecting in celebrating 30 years of the franchise.

The last item in the crate (besides the small candy cane) is a post card for 30 days free of  Crunchroll, a website that lets you watch anime, read manga, and purchase collectible figures.

I like that Loot Crate has been designing the inside of their crate, this one was really cool!

January's theme has been revealed: It's Rewind, featuring items from Star Wars and Voltron! There will be a licensed t-shirt and a mash-up figure.

Christmas Haul 2014 - part 2

A few more items from today, a nice mix of different series and platforms!

Sailor Moon Season 1 dvd

This 3 disc set has 23 episodes, in English and Japanese stereo audio (and can have English subtitles). I believe this is also Part 1, Part 2 is not yet out (Amazon says you can pre-order Part 2, and will be released February 10, 2015).

World of Warcraft Gryphon Hatchling plush

Apparently these plushies were ordered in September. Today I tried looking at the Blizzard Gear Store where these were purchased, but they are no longer on the site. Amazon and eBay are selling them, but they are very pricey. Hopefully the store will restock, they are $24.99 each, come in a nice black drawstring bag with a card that has the code for an in-game pet. The plush is super soft and cute.

World of Warcraft Windrider Cub plush

Like the gryphon hatchling, this plush is sadly no longer in the Blizzard store. It also came with a card and code for an in-game pet.

Hedgehog HideAway Pet plush

It is not Sonic the Hedgehog, but he is still a cute one! Very soft and you can button the top of the head down and it will form a ball.
